
SSP Doda Inaugurates Training Courses on NDPS Act and New Criminal Laws for Police Personnel at DPL Doda
In a significant step towards capacity building and professional development of police personnel, SSP Doda Sh. Sandeep Mehta- JKPS inaugurated two training courses today at District Police Lines (DPL) Doda.
The first course was on the NDPS Act which was organised in collaboration with Narcotics Control Bureau Jammu. The training was imparted by the representative of NCB Mr. Ashu Dhaka. This course aims to equip police personnel with in-depth knowledge and skills to effectively deal with narcotics-related cases.
On this occasion, SSP Doda in his inaugural addresses gave a brief lecture to the participants on the working of Police for conducting the investigation in a professional manner without any loopholes. SSP Doda also advised the course participants to gain maximum knowledge and techniques for conducting the investigation in professional manner and procedures to be followed during the investigation of NDPS cases.
The second course was on New Criminal Laws Phase-II. DySP Hqrs Doda Sh Ajay Anand acted as Nodal Officer who shall supervise the training program in District Training Centre DPL Doda.
The aim of organizing of the course to make the Police Personnel familiar with the new criminal laws and to sharpen the professional skill of officers /officials in the field of investigation, techniques and professional acumen of participants with regard to recent amendments /changes in the law and procedure to be followed from the registration of FIR to final production of Challan etc.
In the First batch of the course 30 officers / officials have been selected from various police units throughout the District for attending the course. A proper schedule has been chalked out to cover the participants all the important topics with respect to BNSS, BNS and BSA.

The lectures will be imparted by supervisory officers, prosecuting officers and other key officers/officials. This course focuses on updating investigating officers on the latest legal frameworks and investigative techniques.
The training courses witnessed participation from investigating officers from different police stations and police posts.

By imparting specialized training, the district police administration aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of its personnel, ultimately leading to more effective law enforcement and better service delivery to the community.
The expertise shared by the Narcotics Control Bureau will undoubtedly strengthen the district police’s capabilities in tackling narcotics-related challenges.
