SSP Doda Held Pcpg Meeting With Public At Kahara Gandoh , Reviewed Crime And Operational Preparedness In The Area

The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Doda, Sandeep Mehta- JKPS today visited Gandoh, conducted a comprehensive review of Crime review meeting and operational preparedness at Kahara. The review meeting, which was attended by senior police officers SDPO Gandoh SHO PS Gandoh alongwith all IC Police Posts and key personnel of operational grid, focused on assessing the current security situation, operational readiness, and the effectiveness of law enforcement in maintaining peace and order within the sub division.
A review on crime registration during the year-2025 along with back log cases and disposal during the current year was held with Supervisory Officers /SHOs who gave brief account of their work done during the current year so far in the area of crime and other allied things.
A threadbare discussion was held with supervisory officers/SHOs /IC PPs on the backlog cases as well as cases registered during the current year and their disposal. The officers were directed to ensure maximum disposal of the under investigation cases, inquest proceedings and other allied things to minimize the pendency upto the desired level. Investigation of the timeline cases shall be completed in time bound manner. Necessary instruction were given for expeditious disposal of U/I cases, tracing out of missing persons, arrest of absconders, surveillance on suspected persons, smugglers, conducting of Long /Short Range Patrolling besides ensuring police services to the public to the desired level.

Soon after the crime review meeting SSP Doda held a PCPG meeting at Kahara which was attended by social activists, media fraternity, prominent persons, and respectable members of business community.
The participants while speaking on the occasion, highlighted many issues like unscheduled power curtailment, Establishment of Police Station at Kahara, organizing of sports activities under CAP in the area, Destruction of Cannabis at village level, etc. A patient hearing was given to their demands and they were assured that their demands pertaining to other departments will be taken up with concerned department for appropriate action besides issues related to Police would be resolved.
While addressing the participants, SSP Doda urged upon them to maintain brotherhood, communal harmony and strengthen the hands of Police in eradicating social crime so that a peaceful/crime free atmosphere is built up. They were also appealed to provide inputs/information to police about smuggling of drugs, bovine, forests smuggling and other illegal activities if they noticed in their neighborhood for initiation of lawful action. The participants highly complimented the efforts of police by way of conducting such public outreach programmes for listening the issues and grievances of the general public.Latest Posts
