Shruti and Santanu have been in a long-term relationship. Responding to the rumors, Shruti Haasan took to her Instagram Stories to clarify the situation and deny any claims of marriage. Addressing those who don’t know her personally, she wrote, “So, I’m not married. For someone who has been open about every single thing, why would I hide this? LOL. The speculation began during an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on Reddit conducted by Orry, where a question about celebrities displaying unnecessary attitudes prompted him to recall an incident involving Shruti Haasan. According to Orry, Shruti was rude to him at an event, and he shared his experience, mentioning, “Shruti Hasan. Not for posing because I never asked her, but she was very very rude to me at an event that I had actually got her into and I don’t even know her!”

Orry expressed feeling upset about the incident but attributed it to a possible misunderstanding. He stated, “Felt very bad, but there was probably some misunderstanding because I am good with her husband and I adore him. This will get sorted out in time. However, I heard from the rumor mill she called me a ‘Pune’ (peon) like a spot boy or smth.”
