SDH Bhaderwah conducts multiple laparoscopic surgeries, Transforming Healthcare in Doda
DODA, July 13: In its endeavours to transform healthcare in the District, the Sub District Hospital (SDH) Bhaderwah in District Doda during the week successfully performed five (05) different surgeries including Laparascopic Cholecystectomy surgeries three cases, Limberg Flap for Pilonidal Sinus one case and one case of Spermatocelectomy for Epididymal Spermatocele.
As per details, the surgeries were conducted by Dr Subash Sharma (Surgeon Specialist), Dr Azma (Anaesthetist) assisted by the dedicated OT staff of SDH Bhaderwah.
The surgeries were done under the supervision of Block Medical Officer Bhaderwah Dr Mohd Ashraf and esteemed guidance of CMO Doda Dr Om Kumar.
Setting a benchmark to improve and provide better healthcare facilities to the people of Bhaderwah region, the CMO Doda Dr Om Kumar and BMO Bhaderwah Dr Mohd Ashraf congratulated the dedicated staff of Surgery Unit for successfully performing the different surgeries in a week time and expressed hope for similar groundbreaking surgeries in the future to reduce external referrals.
The operative team also expressed their thanks to CMO Doda and BMO Bhaderwah for their moral and logistic support and highly obliged to Administrative Secretary Health Dr Syed Abid Rasheed (IAS) and Director Health Services Jammu Dr Rajeev Magotra for their time to time inspiration to start advanced laparoscopic procedures, in the interest of better patient care.
It is notable to mention here that Sub District Hospital Bhaderwah has achieved a feat of conducting dozens of different laparoscopic surgeries of patients in the last 2-3 months, which has reduced the sufferings of common people by providing this facility in their area as earlier patients had to go Doda, Jammu or Srinagar for such surgeries.
