Sankalp HEW and JK Bank promote women’s financial inclusion in Doda
DODA, JULY 16: In a collaborative effort to promote financial inclusion and empowering women, Sankalp Hub for Empowerment of Women (HEW) conducted a joint camp with Jammu and Kashmir Bank’s main branch in Doda.
The event, held under the direction of the District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) Doda, aimed at raising awareness about various women-centric schemes, Direct Benefits Transfers (DBT) enablement, and Aadhar authentication for women beneficiaries.
The camp saw a substantial turnout, with a significant number of women participating enthusiastically.
This overwhelming response underscored the growing financial independence among women in the region.
During the event, the staff of Jammu and Kashmir Bank held a Consumer Advisory Forum (CAF) meeting.
Participants were educated on the use of digital apps and ATMs, which facilitate convenient transactions without the need to stand in long queues, thus avoiding the hustle and bustle typically associated with banking services.
In addition to promoting digital banking, the bank representatives informed the attendees about various loan schemes and updated bank policies.
The camp also focused on the importance of Aadhar authentication for beneficiaries, ensuring they can seamlessly access DBT and other government schemes.
