Salaar Roars Past ₹694 Crore at Global Box Office, Nears ₹700 Crore Milestone on Day 18
Salaar, the much-anticipated Prabhas-starrer, continues to make waves at the global box office, with its worldwide collection reaching ₹694.3 crore on its 18th day. Despite experiencing a slight dip in earnings on its third Monday, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire is set to join the elite ₹700 crore club on Tuesday.
Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan shared the latest box office figures on X (formerly Twitter), revealing Salaar’s day-wise performance. The film’s journey began with an impressive ₹176.52 crore on day 1, followed by ₹101.39 crore on day 2, and ₹95.24 crore on day 3. Despite a gradual decline in daily earnings, Salaar maintained its strong momentum, culminating in a total collection of ₹694.32 crore.
Manobala Vijayabalan highlighted Salaar’s position among the top 5 highest-grossing south Indian films, standing alongside blockbusters like Rajinikanth’s 2.0, Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2, and SS Rajamouli’s RRR and Baahubali 2.
Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire faced competition at the box office from Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki, which was released on December 21. Despite the clash, Salaar managed to secure a significant spot in the top-grossing films.
Directed by Prashanth Neel, known for his work on KGF: Chapter 2, Salaar features Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Shruti Haasan in key roles. The action-packed film, released in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi on December 22, revolves around a gang leader striving to fulfill a promise made to his dying friend.
This collaboration between Prashanth Neel and Prabhas has proven to be a massive success, with Salaar 2, titled Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam, already in the pipeline. The film’s global success underscores its widespread appeal and establishes Salaar as a noteworthy addition to the pantheon of successful Indian films.
