Salaar Hits ₹650 Crore Worldwide: Team Celebrates Blockbuster Success with Cake-Cutting Ceremony
Salaar is on the brink of surpassing the ₹400 crore mark in India, achieving a remarkable worldwide gross collection exceeding ₹650 crore. In light of this achievement, the team gathered for a joyous cake-cutting ceremony. Shared online were images capturing Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, accompanied by director Prashanth Neel, all wearing black and grinning widely as they engaged in the celebratory act.
The film’s official Twitter account, on Monday, posted the celebratory pictures with a caption that read, “The blockbuster success calls for a blockbuster celebration! Salaar box office storm… Record-breaking Salaar… Salaar ruling the box office.” The snapshots showcased a closer look at the elaborately decorated chocolate cake bearing the inscription ‘Blockbuster Salaar.’
Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, which released in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi on December 22, unfolds in the fictional city of Khansaar, revolving around the friendship of two characters, Deva (Prabhas) and Vardha (Prithviraj). The ensemble cast includes Shruti Haasan, Eshwari Rao, Jagapathi Babu, and Sriya Reddy.
Notably, the Spanish version of Salaar premiered in Latin America on March 7 through Cinepolis, a dominant player with a 72.5% market share in the region. Looking ahead, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire is set to hit Japanese theaters this summer, as announced by the film’s producers, Hombale Films, and Japanese distribution company Twin on Salaar’s official page. The post stated, “#SalaarCeaseFire is coming to theaters across Japan this Summer. Release by @movietwin2.”
Having released concurrently with Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki amid significant anticipation, Salaar has outperformed the Hindi movie, currently standing at ₹394 crore at the domestic box office for all languages after 18 days since its release, as reported by Sacnilk.com. The film continues to captivate audiences worldwide with its phenomenal success.
