Reasi Accident: Two people killed and five others injured

Two people were killed and five others injured when a passenger vehicle turned turtle in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, officials said.

The accident took place at Battalgala near Bakkal tunnel at around 8.40 am when the vehicle, travelling from Saranghdar to Reasi, turned turtle after the driver of the vehicle lost control, they said.

According to eyewitnesses, one of the vehicle’s tyres burst, leading to the driver losing control and the passenger vehicle turning turtle.

A 48-year-old man was found dead on the spot while six others were rushed to a hospital where one of the critically injured, aged around 35 years, died, the officials said.

Two other critically injured persons were referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital, Jammu, for specialised treatment.
