Ramban residents can breathe a sigh of relief. Deputy Commissioner Ramban clarified on Tuesday that the Ramban Viaduct is completely safe, dismissing social media claims about cracks that had sparked panic among commuters.
Speaking to reporters, the DC said a technical team has thoroughly inspected the viaduct and the surrounding areas. “We’ve verified the situation with our engineers. There are no cracks on the viaduct. The structure is completely safe, and people need not worry,” he assured.

He did, however, remind residents to stay cautious, especially given the heavy and continuous rainfall in the district, and to follow all safety advisories issued by the authorities.
