    New Delhi, May 21 [VoM News]: A high level interaction between Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and
    Ahn Gyu-back took place hinting off a expanded strategic defence partnership between India and South Korea.

    The talks as per reports were aimed at strengthening cooperation across defence manufacturing, maritime security, cyber technology, logistics, military exchanges and regional stability in the Indo-Pacific.

    Multiple developments over defence cyber cooperation, military training between premier defence institutions, and collaboration in United Nations peacekeeping operations were reported.

    India-Korea Defence Innovation Accelerator Ecosystem (KIND-X) aimed at boosting technological collaboration was also discussed as per details available with VoM News.

    Korean companies were also engaged to partner with India under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.

    Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has highlighted the India’s growing capabilities in artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, semiconductors, cyber security and defence innovation driven by start-ups, MSMEs and private industry.

    To strengthen the industrial and technological cooperation in the defence sector, two agreements were signed.

    These agreements include Indian company L&T and South Korea’s Hanwha Co Ltd.
