Schools Closed in Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban Today Amid Adverse Weather, Online Classes to Continue

Doda, August, 01, 2026 [VoM News]: Authorities have ordered the closure of all government and private schools in Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban on Saturday due to adverse weather conditions.

The Chief Education Officers (CEOs) of the three districts issued separate orders in compliance with directions from the respective Deputy Commissioners and in view of the continuing weather advisory.

The decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of students and school staff.

Despite the physical closure of schools, the education authorities have directed institutions to conduct online classes as per the prescribed timetable to ensure that academic activities continue without interruption.

The district administrations have advised students, parents and school authorities to strictly follow the weather advisory and cooperate with the administration until conditions improve.
