Prime Minister Modi Accuses Congress of Insulting Armed Forces
Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a fervent address to BJP leaders and workers at the party’s National Convention 2024 held at Delhi’s Bharat Mandapam on Sunday. In a bold statement, he criticized the Congress party, accusing it of consistently insulting the Indian armed forces. PM Modi pointed to instances where the Congress questioned the credibility of surgical strikes and demanded proof for the Balakot airstrikes in Pakistan.
Recollection of the 2019 Balakot Airstrike
The Prime Minister’s remarks were centered around the 2019 Balakot airstrike conducted by India’s armed forces in response to the Pulwama terror attack. The Congress party had previously criticized the BJP government for allegedly exploiting the military action for political gains. PM Modi highlighted the need to acknowledge the sacrifices of the armed forces and reiterated the significance of a strong and united nation.
Government Achievements and Economic Growth
During his address, PM Modi underscored the achievements of his government over the last decade. He proudly announced a two-trillion-dollar surge in the Indian economy during his tenure. The Prime Minister elaborated on various government schemes benefiting the underprivileged, such as initiatives for drinking water, housing, construction of medical colleges and universities, and crucial infrastructure projects.
Call to Action for BJP Workers and Focus on Upcoming Elections
In a motivational call to action, PM Modi urged BJP workers to approach the next 100 days with renewed vigor and faith, emphasizing the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He encouraged them to connect with every voter, beneficiary, and community, with the goal of winning the trust of the entire nation.
On the same day, PM Modi presided over the Chief Ministers’ Conclave at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The conclave saw the presence of key BJP figures, including national president JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. It is noteworthy that the BJP-led NDA is ambitiously targeting more than 400 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
