PM Modi Visit Jk on Feb 20
Scheduled for February 20, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is gearing up for a significant visit to Jammu and Kashmir, where he is poised to initiate a multitude of development projects with a substantial financial investment.
In conjunction with this visit, Prime Minister Modi is slated to deliver a rally in Jammu. As part of the government’s recent employment initiative, he will virtually distribute 1.08 lakh appointment letters to deserving youth across various central government departments. Overseeing the event from New Delhi will be Dr. Jitendra Singh, the Union Minister of State in the PMO, while three other Union Ministers will be on-site in Jammu, Srinagar, and Leh to distribute the letters.
The Prime Minister’s visit is anticipated to encompass the inauguration of several pivotal projects, including the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Vijaypur, the highest railway bridge in Reasi, the Devika Rejuvenation project in Udhampur, and IIM Jammu, among others. Additionally, foundation stones for various other development initiatives will be laid.
While the ongoing train project aimed at connecting Kashmir with the rest of the country progresses, there are ambitious plans to extend the service beyond Banihal to Khari. This extension is expected to significantly reduce the distance between Kashmir and Jammu by rail, contributing to enhanced connectivity and regional development.
