Prime Minister Narendra Modi strongly criticized the Congress for its historical stance on Article 370, which granted special status to the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir. Speaking at a public gathering after laying the foundation stone for the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Rewari, Haryana, Modi highlighted the Congress’s obstruction in the abrogation of Article 370 for decades. He affirmed that despite Congress’s attempts, Article 370 is now a thing of the past, emphasizing the positive impact on the rights of women, Dalits, backward classes, and tribals in Jammu and Kashmir. Modi revealed the people’s pledge of securing 370 seats for the BJP and 400-plus for the NDA in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
Modi Accuses Congress of Encouraging Terrorism and Separatism
The Prime Minister went on to accuse the Congress of consistently encouraging terrorists and separatists, stating that their policies were detrimental to national security.
