DODA, JULY 26: Government schools in Doda District have initiated regular Parent-Teacher Meetings to advance education and promote student welfare. Chief Education Officer Sh. Parkash Lal Thapa emphasized that these meetings aim to improve the overall education system and address various aspects of student life.
The meetings, scheduled on the 26th of every month, are centered around important themes, including the “Role of Parents in Prevention of Drug Abuse among School-going Students” and insights into the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The initiative underscores the essential role of parents in conjunction with teachers to support holistic child development.
As part of the Shiksha Saptah celebrations and the 4th anniversary of NEP 2020, these sessions have become a vital platform for engaging parents in their children’s education. Participants gain valuable insights into life skills and the critical role they play in supporting their children’s academic and personal growth.
Each meeting addresses a wide range of topics such as academic progress, mental health, hygiene, and personal development.
Key themes discussed include the importance of parental involvement during exams, safety concerns, the development of life skills, the prevention of drug abuse, and strategies for emotional well-being and adolescent parenting.
Through these ongoing meetings, the initiative aims to foster a stronger parent-teacher partnership, ultimately contributing to a more comprehensive and supportive educational experience for students in Doda.
