    Former Chief Minister and National Conference Vice-President, Omar Abdullah, has accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Baramulla Lok Sabha segment of aiding the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the abrogation of Article 370.Addressing a party function in the Langate area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district, Omar highlighted that the PDP candidate failed to vote against the abrogation of Article 370 in the Rajya Sabha.

    Omar Abdullah pointed out that during the crucial vote on Article 370 in the Rajya Sabha, the PDP candidate from the Baramulla Lok Sabha segment was notably absent. This absence, according to Omar, directly facilitated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s agenda.

    Questioning the credibility of such representatives, Omar Abdullah urged voters to consider whether they should elect individuals who fail to represent the interests of their constituents in critical parliamentary decisions.In his statement, Omar Abdullah underscored the significance of voting against measures detrimental to the rights and autonomy of the region, particularly concerning Article 370. He emphasized the need for accountable and proactive parliamentary representation to safeguard the interests of the people.
