
Objections invited for for Manual-scavenging free Doda
District Administration Doda has issued a public notice, inviting the objections from general public regarding the declaration of Doda as manual Scavenging free.
The district administration Doda conducted a comprehensive survey of Manual scavenger, conducted in compliance with the Hon’ble Supreme Court’s order dated October 20, 2023, in WP (C) 324/2020 filed by Dr. Balram Singh.
As per the findings of the survey, no manual scavengers were identified within the district. The survey has been conducted, as per Guidelines set by the Government of India for the Survey of Manual Scavengers.

Consequently, the administration has announced this status, inviting any objections or claims from the general public regarding the declaration.
Submission of Objections
Individuals or organizations with objections are required to submit them in writing to the office of the District Social Welfare Officer, Doda, or via email at dswododa@gmail.com. Submissions must be made within 15 days from the publication date of this notice.
If no objections would be received within the stipulated timeframe, the district will officially be notified as Manual Scavenging Free.
