NHM Employees Association Doda Successfully Organizes Blood Donation Drive
DODA, November 17: In a commendable display of goodwill and a commitment to moral responsibility, the National Health Mission (NHM) Employees, operating under the umbrella of the All J&K NHM Employees Association District Unit Doda, conducted a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp on Friday at the Associated Hospital, Government Medical College Doda. The initiative was undertaken in collaboration with the District Administration Doda, Government Medical College Doda, and District Health Society Doda.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by the presence of Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, Principal GMC Doda Dr. Puja Vimesh, CMO Doda Dr. Ab Hamid Zargar, MS AH GMC Doda Dr. Tanveer Ahmed, HOD Pathology GMC Doda Dr. Sumat ul Khurshid, BMO Ghat Dr. Ab Gafoor Ahmed, President NHM Union Doda Dr. Nasir Masood Indrabi, and other dignitaries.
Doda Authorities Conduct Extensive Traffic-Checks for Road Safety
Addressing the gathering, DC Doda encouraged individuals to voluntarily donate blood, emphasizing its significant contribution to humanity and the potential to save precious lives. He praised the NHM Employees of the health department for their remarkable dedication and humanitarian spirit in making life-saving contributions.
Dr. Nasir Masood Indrabi, President of NHM Association Doda and a blood donor himself, highlighted that this blood donation event by NHM employees was a first in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized the dedicated services rendered by the NHM employees in the department, showcasing a benevolent and noble gesture for the cause of humanity.
Members of the NHM Association stressed the importance of every healthy individual coming forward to donate blood, contributing to the noble cause of increasing blood capacity in the health system.Following the successful event, Deputy Commissioner Doda and other dignitaries presented certificates of appreciation to all donors, aiming to encourage and recognize their valuable contributions.
Expressing gratitude, Principal GMC Doda Dr. Puja Vimesh thanked the NHM Employees Association Doda, distinguished guests, dedicated staff of the Blood Bank, and generous blood donors for their presence and participation. She emphasized the profound impact their collective contribution would have on saving lives.
