Narco Smuggler Arrested by Doda Police in Bhaderwah, Contraband Recovered

Continuing it war against drug, Doda Police arrested one Narco Smuggler and recovered 1200 grams of Ganja like substance from his possession in Bhaderwah Doda.

While giving detail, SSP Doda Sh Sandeep Mehta JKPS has said that on 18-04-2025, Police party of Police Station Bhaderwah was conducting routine patrolling duty in Bhaderwah town.

During patrolling the police party while reaching link road Udrana Bhaderwah at about 22:45 hrs the Police party saw a person moving suspiciously.

The person was chased and apprehended. On his personal search Ganja like substance recovered from him which was concealed in a polythene bag.

On enquiry, he disclosed his name as Mohammad Rasim S/O Daud R/O Patharaha Nawabganj District Araria Bihar.

The contraband substance was kept by the suspected person in his illegal possession for illegal sale among the youth in Bhaderwah. Accordingly, a case FIR No. 55/2025 U/S 8/20 NDPS act registered at PS Bhaderwah and investigation has taken up.

This operation is a part of Doda Police special drive to eradicate drug peddling, manufacturing, and selling of illicit liquor in the district.

SSP Doda, Shri Sandeep Mehta, has urged the public to cooperate with the police and provide information about any suspicious activities, enabling timely action to be taken.
