Mohammed Yousuf Supports Babar Azam Amidst Form Slump: Encouragement for the Star Batter

Amidst Babar Azam’s recent dip in form and a challenging series against Australia, former Pakistan captain Mohammed Yousuf has extended his support to the struggling batter.

Babar’s low scores Down Under have drawn attention and criticism, prompting words of encouragement from Yousuf.

In a tweet on X (formerly Twitter), accompanied by Babar’s picture, Yousuf offered support, advising Babar to remain resilient during these tough times, assuring him that things will eventually improve.

“Be strong now because things will get better, it might be stormy now, but it can’t rain forever,” read Yousuf’s tweet.

Babar Azam’s recent struggle in the ongoing Test series against Australia has been a point of concern for cricket enthusiasts.

His performance began to falter after a promising 151 against Nepal during the Asia Cup. Subsequently, in the following 15 innings, his form waned, yielding only 412 runs at an average of 29.42, accompanied by four half-centuries and a best score of 74.

This downturn in Babar’s form coincided with a period where Pakistan’s team performances were impacted.

During the Asia Cup, his contribution was limited to 207 runs in four innings, with a significant portion, 151 runs, coming against Nepal, leading to Pakistan’s failure to reach the tournament final.

In the ICC Cricket World Cup, Babar’s consistency remained a concern as he grappled to find the right rhythm to score effectively.

Despite tallying 320 runs at an average of 40.00 with four half-centuries in nine matches, Pakistan’s journey in the tournament was cut short, finishing fifth in the points table without reaching the semifinals.

Before the Nepal match, Babar boasted an impressive record of 946 runs in 20 international matches at an average of 47.30, including three centuries and six fifties in 21 innings.

However, with his recent slump, Babar’s overall performance now spans 35 matches, amassing 1,358 runs, with a reduced average of 39.94, consisting of three centuries and 10 fifties.
