Modi Government’s Support for Farmers Unprecedented, States Anurag Thakur
Amidst the ongoing farmers’ protest at the Haryana-Delhi border, Union Minister Anurag Thakur asserted on Friday that the Narendra Modi government has undertaken unprecedented initiatives for farmers over the past 10 years.

Thakur highlighted the significant financial commitment made by the Modi government, emphasizing that no other administration has dedicated as much as Rs 18.40 lakh crores for farmers. In contrast, he pointed out the Congress’s expenditure of Rs 5.5 lakh crore during their 10-year governance.

Comparing the Modi government’s actions to those of the Congress, Thakur drew attention to the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, which provided farmers with Rs 1,54,000 crore as reimbursement for crop losses. He underlined the Modi government’s commitment to farmers’ welfare, including the allocation of Rs 15,511 crore for irrigation schemes.

Addressing the ongoing farmers’ protest, Thakur asserted that citizens have the democratic right to voice their concerns peacefully. He downplayed the significance of the protest, attributing it to a common occurrence during elections.
Modi Government’s Support for Farmers:Allegations Against Congress and Unity in Bharat
Thakur accused the Congress of supporting divisive elements and claimed that they have never intended to bring prosperity to the country. He alleged the Congress’s support for the “Tukde Tukde Gang” and emphasized the Modi government’s success in lifting 25 crore people out of poverty.
In a final statement, Thakur commented on Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, asserting the Modi government’s vision of a united and strong Bharat. Additionally, he addressed the ‘Modi ka Parivar’ movement, attributing its inception to the response generated by previous derogatory remarks made by the Congress against Prime Minister Modi.
