Reflecting on his return, Medvedev acknowledged the challenges of resuming play after a break, saying, “When you take a week or two off, but it’s something you planned, then it’s kind of easy tennis-wise, just a couple of points or games to get back.” Despite dealing with some pain upon his return, Medvedev successfully navigated the match, converting five of nine break points.
