Authorities reported a significant fire outbreak in a commercial building situated on Barakhamba Road in New Delhi on Thursday afternoon. The fire originated on the eleventh floor, as depicted in a video capturing a dense plume of smoke billowing from the structure. Fortunately, there have been no immediate reports of injuries or fatalities in the incident.

The Delhi Fire Services Department received an alert about the fire at Gopaldas Bhawan around 12:56 – 12:57 pm on Thursday. Responding promptly, fifteen fire tenders rushed to the site to initiate firefighting operations and contain the escalating situation.

“Fire incident in Gopaldas building located on Delhi’s Barakhamba road; Fire tenders rushed to the spot, and an operation to control the fire is on,” officials confirmed.

Details surrounding the extent of the fire outbreak and potential damages are currently awaited as the firefighting operation continues.
