Major Diplomatic Reshuffle in Bangladesh; 5 Envoys Recalled
In a major Diplomatic Reshuffle In Bangladesh, five envoys have been recalled, a foreign ministry official informed on Thursday.
The interim government led by Noble Peace awardee Muhammad Younis, called for this significant change after weeks of violent protest ending Sheikh Hasina’s govt, and forced to flee to India.
As per reports, five envoys include, Envoy to Brussels, Envoy to Canberra, Envoy to Lisbon, Envoy to New Delhi and Envoy to permanent mission to United Nations in New York. The envoys have been ordered to reach the capital city immediately, and instructed of handing their responsibilities.
Similarly, ambassador to Brtian, Saida Muna Tasneem, has been instructed to return.
Pertinent to mention here, in war-torn bangladesh, students led movement, and violent protest forces Hasina to resign and flee to India. More than 700 people Lost their lives, whereas ties with India have also seen a heavy strain.
