KL Rahul is poised to take on a distinct role in Test cricket, diverging from his customary opening position, as India faces South Africa in their ongoing series. Captain Rohit Sharma has designated Rahul as India’s wicketkeeper for the series, announcing a shift to the middle order, departing from his usual opening slot.
