Kashmir Schools to Reopen on July 18, No Extension for Summer Vacation
SRINAGAR, JULY 15 : Amid swirling rumors about a possible extension of summer vacations, a senior official has confirmed that schools in Kashmir are set to reopen as scheduled on July 18.
Despite speculation fueled by ongoing heat, the government has decided not to prolong the break.
Official Confirmation
A senior government official informed Daily Spark News that no decision has been made to extend the summer vacation.
“There is no expectation of an extension in vacations,” the official said. This statement aims to quash the widespread rumors about a potential delay in the reopening of schools.
Reopening Date
The official emphasized that schools will resume on July 18 as planned. “Schools are set to re-open on 18th July,” the official reiterated, urging the public not to believe in unfounded rumors.
This announcement comes amidst persistent speculation that the break might be extended due to the rising daytime temperatures.
Summer Vacation Context
It’s worth noting that the summer vacation for schools in Kashmir began on July 8. The decision to start the vacation was influenced by the increasing daytime temperatures, providing a much-needed respite for students and teachers alike.
However, despite the ongoing heat, the authorities have decided that the scheduled reopening will proceed without delay.
This clear communication from the government aims to ensure that students, parents, and educators can prepare for the new term without uncertainty.
The decision underscores the administration’s commitment to maintaining the academic calendar while balancing the needs of the community during the hot summer months.
