Key Highlights:
- J&K Police organized Bharat Darshan tour for students from BPL families, police martyrs’ wards, and remote areas.
- The tour includes visits to Jammu and Kolkata with a focus on historical and cultural sites.
- Students were advised on safety, discipline, and maximizing their learning experience.
In a commendable initiative aimed at providing students with valuable learning experiences at the national level, the J&K Police organized a Bharat Darshan tour under their Civic Action Programme.
This tour specifically targets students from different colleges and schools in Doda, focusing on those belonging to BPL (Below Poverty Line) families, wards of police martyrs, and students residing in remote areas of the district.
The group of students was officially flagged off on July 24, 2024, from the District Headquarters. Their itinerary includes stays in Jammu and Kolkata, with the entire journey to and from these destinations being conducted by air from Jammu.
The tour offers the students the opportunity to visit various scenic locations, museums, and monuments of historical and cultural significance.
During a pre-departure interaction with the students, they were advised to be extra cautious throughout their journey and to seize the opportunity to gain as much learning experience as possible.
This, they were told, would be beneficial for their future endeavors. Emphasis was also placed on maintaining discipline and ensuring a safe trip.
Inspector Mushtaq Ahmed, along with a team from District Headquarters Doda, has been appointed to accompany the students as caretakers during the tour. This ensures that the students have a point of contact for any assistance they may need.
The Bharat Darshan tour is part of the J&K Police’s broader Civic Action Programme, which aims to provide students from remote and underprivileged backgrounds with exposure to the broader national landscape, enhancing their educational and cultural understanding.
This initiative underscores the commitment of the J&K Police to foster educational growth and national awareness among the youth of the region.
