The NCS provided details about the seismic activity in a statement on X, stating, “An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.9 occurred on 02-01-2024 at 11:33:32 IST, with coordinates Lat: 32.76 and Long: 74.57, at a depth of 5 km.

The epicenter was located in Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir, India.”
