    Jammu Police Recovered Stolen Scooty and Motorcycle; One Accused Arrested in Akhnoor Area

    Jammu, April 6, 2025: Continuing its crackdown on vehicle thefts, Jammu Police have achieved a significant breakthrough with the recovery of a stolen scooty and a motorcycle in the Akhnoor area. The operation, led by Inspector Rohit Gandhi of Police Station Akhnoor, also resulted in the arrest of one accused involved in the case.

    The case began when Mr. Rahul Kumar, son of Sh. Randev Kumar and a resident of Pull Chandian, Tehsil Akhnoor, lodged a complaint regarding the theft of his scooty. Acting swiftly on the report, an FIR (No. 59/2025) was registered under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Police Station Akhnoor.

    During the investigation, police detained a suspect identified as Sabba Masih,son of Nayamat Singh originally hailing from Tarn Taran, Amritsar (Punjab), and currently residing at Nai Basti, Pargwal, Akhnoor. Upon sustained interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime.

    Following his disclosure, the stolen scooty was recovered and seized. Moreover, a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02CJ5403 was also recovered in a separate seizure under Section 106 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).

    Further investigation into the case is ongoing.
