In a significant operation, Jammu Police have arrested a notorious criminal, Pawandeep Singh, also known as Kaka, in the Gole Gujral area of Jammu. Singh, who hails from Swaran Colony, was apprehended on the evening of September 29, 2024, by a police team from PP Pounichak during a routine naka checking.
The arrest occurred when Singh, riding a motorcycle (JK02 BJ 8352), was flagged down at a checkpoint while traveling from Bhagwati Nagar toward SOS. His suspicious behavior prompted officers to search him, leading to the discovery of a concealed sharp-edged weapon, a “toka,” hidden behind his back.
Pawandeep Singh is a well-known criminal in the area with several FIRs already lodged against him at various police stations, including Nowabad, Bus Stand, and Domana. His arrest has raised concerns about his involvement in more serious criminal activities, particularly in connection to illegal weapons circulating in the region.
Following his apprehension, a case has been registered against him under FIR No. 238/2024 at Police Station Domana under Section 4/25 of the Arms Act. The investigation is now focused on uncovering more details about Singh’s associates and potential connections to a larger criminal network.
The operation was successfully executed by the PP Pounichak team, led by the SHO Police Station Domana, under the supervision of the SDPO Domana and the SP Rural Jammu.
Jammu Police have emphasized the importance of public cooperation in reporting suspicious activities as they continue their efforts to curb crime and ensure community safety. Further developments in the case are anticipated as the investigation progresses.
