Jammu and Kashmir Witnessing Positive Transformation: Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha

Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha emphasized the positive transformation in Jammu and Kashmir, citing achievements in governance, investment, tourism, and job creation since the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019. Speaking at the ‘Sushasan Mahotsav 2024’ organized by Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini in New Delhi, Sinha credited this transformation to the unwavering political will of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Good Governance a Reality
Highlighting the newfound synergy between good governance and Jammu and Kashmir, Sinha stated, “In my 40 months of personal experience, J-K is now being counted among states having good governance, which I am considering a big achievement.”
Addressing Historical Disparities
Addressing historical challenges, Sinha quoted late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, highlighting the inefficiencies during the era of Article 370. He emphasized the positive impact of the abrogation on the ground situation, leading to improved governance.
Decline in Violence
Sinha acknowledged the decline in violence in Jammu and Kashmir since the abrogation of Article 370, citing a significant reduction in terrorist incidents and increased security measures. He credited these positive changes to the sacrifices of key figures and Prime Minister Modi’s steadfast commitment to integration.
