J-k Shivers in Intense Cold: Dry Weather Forecasted Until February 14
On Thursday, Kashmir experienced a frigid night as the clear sky allowed mercury to plummet freely. The minimum temperature in Srinagar city reached a chilling minus 5.2 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological (MeT) department, dry weather is expected to persist until February 14.
The temperature readings for other locations in Kashmir were equally cold, with Gulmarg recording a minimum of minus 12 degrees Celsius and Pahalgam at minus 11.9 degrees Celsius.
In the Jammu region, the minimum temperatures varied, with Jammu city at 3.6 degrees Celsius, Katra at 4.4 degrees Celsius, Batote at 0.3 degrees Celsius, Bhaderwah at minus 2.1 degrees Celsius, and Banihal at minus 1.4 degrees Celsius. The widespread cold conditions indicate a continued spell of chilly weather across the Kashmir Valley and its surrounding areas.
