Iran Warns United Nations It Will Respond Decisively to Any Military Aggression
United Nations: Iran has warned that it will respond “decisively” if subjected to military aggression, according to a letter sent to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
In the communication, Iran’s permanent mission to the United Nations stated that Tehran would consider bases, facilities, and assets of any “hostile force” in the region as legitimate targets if it faces military action.
The letter also criticised rhetoric by US President Donald Trump, saying his statements towards Iran “signal a real risk of military aggression.”
Despite the strong warning, Iran maintained that it does not seek war and emphasised that any response would be triggered only if it is subjected to military aggression.
The development comes amid heightened tensions between Tehran and Washington, with diplomatic exchanges at the UN reflecting growing concerns over regional stability.
