Indian Wrestlers’ Selection Trials Set for Asian Championships and Olympic Qualifiers
The Ad-hoc Committee of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) has officially announced the trial dates for selecting Indian wrestlers to participate in the upcoming Asian Championships and Olympic Games qualifiers. The trials are scheduled for March 10 and 11, organized by the Ad-hoc Committee. Men’s Freestyle and Greco-Roman trials will be held at the Sports Authority of India, Sonipat, while women’s trials will take place at NIS Patiala. This crucial selection process precedes the Asian Wrestling Championships from April 11 to 16 and the Asian Olympic Qualifiers from April 19 to 21.

- Quota winners face challengers on June 5, 2024
- Challenger selection on May 31 for the top wrestlers emerging from the March 10-11 trials
- Nordic format play to determine the challenger
- Challenger competes against the quota winner for a spot at the Paris Olympics
