Indian Navy’s INS Tabar Visits Germany for Naval Exercise

The Indian Navy’s frontline frigate, INS Tabar, arrived in Hamburg, Germany, on Wednesday to participate in a series of naval exercises and professional interactions. The visit includes engagements between the Indian Navy and the German Navy, such as visits to the German Naval Academy and hosting ship tours for visitors. The crew will also perform community service at a local old age home.
On departing Hamburg, INS Tabar and the German Navy will conduct a Maritime Partnership Exercise at sea. These activities aim to enhance bilateral relations, particularly in the maritime domain, and provide an opportunity to showcase Indian culture.
India and Germany share a strong relationship based on shared values, democratic principles, and a commitment to global peace and security. INS Tabar, a stealth frigate built in Russia, is commanded by Captain MR Harish. This visit highlights the ongoing commitment to strengthening defense ties and enhancing maritime cooperation between India and Germany.
