The decision to raise the issue in Parliament was made during a meeting held in the chamber of Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge. Opposition leaders discussed their approach to the Budget Session, which commenced on January 31, signaling a unified stance on the matter.
Opposition Leaders Criticize Arrest and Government Formation Delay
Opposition leaders, including Sonia Gandhi, Sharad Pawar, and TR Baalu, had previously met at Kharge’s residence on the day of Hemant Soren’s arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). They criticized Soren’s arrest, alleging he was coerced into resigning as chief minister, leading to a delay in the formation of the new government in Jharkhand.
