In the bowling department, Axar Patel and Mukesh Kumar showcased their skills by taking two wickets each. Their efforts contributed significantly to restricting Afghanistan to a total of 158/5 in 20 overs. Mohammad Nabi played a quickfire innings, scoring 42 runs, while Azmatullah Omarzai provided a rapid cameo of 29 runs. The duo formed a crucial partnership, adding 68 runs for the fourth wicket before Mukesh Kumar dismissed both batsmen in the same over.
