
IGP Jammu Zone, Visits Sub Division Akhnoor
Jammu, 23-02-2025: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Zone, Sh. Bhim Sen Tuti, IPS, accompanied by DIG JSK Range, Sh. Shiv Kumar Sharma, IPS and SP Rural, Sh.Brijesh Sharma visited Sub Division Akhnoor to review security and law enforcement measures.
Interaction with Officers and Jawans:- IGP Jammu engaged with officers and personnel, addressing their concerns and emphasizing operational preparedness.
Review of CCTNS Functioning & Implementation of New Criminal Laws:- The functioning of the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS) was reviewed, along with the progress on implementing the new criminal laws.

Border Management Grid Assessment :- Security arrangements on the International Border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC) were checked to ensure robust border management.
Crime & Security Briefing :– SDPO and SHO Akhnoor provided a comprehensive briefing on the crime situation and security framework in the region.
Operational Directives :- IGP Jammu instructed officers and jawans to maintain heightened vigilance and ensure full activation of police infrastructure within their Areas of Responsibility (AOR).
Coordination with Security Agencies :– VDGs (Village Defence Groups), QRTs (Quick Reaction Teams), and Border Police Posts were directed to stay on high alert. Close coordination with BSF and Army was emphasized to strengthen border security.
Additionally the IGP Jammu held a detailed discussion with the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 10 Div, Akhnoor, focusing on security cooperation and strategic planning.
The visit reinforced the commitment of law enforcement to maintain security, enhance coordination, and implement new legal frameworks effectively in the region.
