JKBOSE Notifies Syllabi for Classes 9th-12th
SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has issued a notification outlining the syllabi and courses of study for Classes 9 to 12 for the upcoming academic sessions across the Union Territory.
According to the notification, there will be no change in the syllabi for Classes 9 and 10 for the academic session 2025–26 in the Kashmir Division and the winter zone areas of the Jammu Division, as well as for the 2026–27 academic session in the summer zone areas of the Jammu Division.
However, the board said minor revisions have been introduced in certain subjects for Classes 11 and 12. For Class 11, the revised subjects include Punjabi and Physical Education, while for Class 12, changes have been made in Education and Environmental Science.
JKBOSE said the question papers for regular and fresh private candidates appearing in the annual examinations scheduled for October–November 2026 in the Kashmir Division and winter zone areas of the Jammu Division, and February–March 2027 in the summer zone areas of the Jammu Division, will be set in accordance with the revised syllabi for these subjects.
The board added that the updated syllabi have been uploaded to its official website for the reference of students and other stakeholders.
Officials said the notification aims to ensure clarity and uniformity in the academic curriculum for the forthcoming sessions.
