- Iran US-Isreali Conflict LIVE Updates March 06 -2026: Thousands Killed, Major Strikes Across the Middle East
March 6, 2026 – The US and Israel have intensified their attacks on Iran, with President Donald Trump claiming Tehran is being “demolished ahead of schedule and at levels people have never seen before.” Speaking from the Oval Office, Trump asserted that Iran now has “no air force, no air defence,” insisting the country’s air capabilities are “gone.”
Iran’s top security officials, however, are vowing resistance. Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, said Iranian forces are “waiting” for any potential US ground invasion and are ready to “disgrace those corrupt American officials by killing and capturing thousands.”
The death toll from the strikes has reached at least 1,230, according to state media reports. The semi-official Fars News Agency said missiles hit two schools in Parand, southwest of Tehran. Civilian areas and infrastructure continue to be affected across the country.
Iran has continued attacks on Gulf countries, targeting the UAE, Qatar, and Bahrain, while Israel’s Tel Aviv endured a combined missile and drone assault late Thursday night, claimed by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard.
The humanitarian impact is mounting. The United Nations refugee agency (UNHCR) reported that at least 330,000 people have been forcibly displaced across the Middle East due to ongoing conflicts, including 100,000 from Tehran, 84,000 in Lebanon, and 118,000 across Afghanistan and Pakistan.
US military officials say Central Command has struck roughly 200 targets in Iran over the past three days, including deeply buried missile launchers and at least 30 Iranian naval vessels. Meanwhile, Iran has publicly claimed responsibility for its drone and missile attacks targeting central Israel and Tel Aviv.
Domestically in the US, the Republican-led House of Representatives voted 219-212 against a measure that would have required congressional approval for hostilities against Iran, allowing President Trump to continue his campaign without additional oversight. Trump has also expressed interest in influencing Iran’s succession, aiming to see a new leadership sympathetic to US interests emerge within the Iranian ruling system.
Regional and global concerns are intensifying. Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi warned that the conflict has pushed the country into a “state of near-emergency” economically, with surging prices threatening basic stability. Iran condemned a US-Israeli strike on the Azadi Sports Complex, a 12,000-seat stadium near Tehran, calling it a violation of international law and the Olympic Charter.
President Trump has additionally renewed threats toward Cuba, indicating potential US military action could follow the conclusion of operations against Iran.
As the conflict spreads across the Middle East and beyond, the international community faces escalating instability, with civilian casualties, refugee displacement, and regional tensions rising by the hour.
