Haq Nawaz Zargar Transferred, Appointed Principal Secretary to Jammu Chief Justice

Srinagar, September 12 (VoM News): In a significant administrative reshuffle in the subordinate judiciary, the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has transferred Haq Nawaz Zargar, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Srinagar, and placed his services at the disposal of the Chief Justice.

According to the order, Zargar will be adjusted as Principal Secretary to the Chief Justice against a vacant post.

The move is part of an administrative arrangement within the subordinate judiciary of Jammu & Kashmir.

Following Zargar’s transfer, the High Court has made an interim arrangement for the functioning of the Principal District and Sessions Court, Srinagar. The Special Judge, Anti-Corruption, Srinagar, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Principal District and Sessions Judge, Srinagar.

The additional charge will continue until a regular appointment is made to the post.

The latest administrative decision is aimed at ensuring that the judicial work of the Principal District and Sessions Court, Srinagar, continues without interruption following the transfer of the incumbent officer.

The appointment of Zargar as Principal Secretary to the Chief Justice also marks a change in the administrative setup of the High Court, with his services being placed directly at the disposal of the Chief Justice for the new assignment.

The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has jurisdiction over the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
