Gunfire Outside House in Delhi Yamuna Vihar Triggers Panic
Late on Thursday night, two unidentified youths on a scooter fired multiple rounds outside a house in Yamuna Vihar, north-east Delhi. The incident, which took place at C-10/132 in Yamuna Vihar, caused panic in the area, but fortunately, no injuries were reported. The Delhi Police responded to the incident, recovering several empty shells and a live round of 7.65 mm from the spot. The complainant, a 52-year-old owner of a clothing store in Karol Bagh, stated that the two youths fired rounds outside his house. An investigation is ongoing, and the police are examining the complainant for potential leads.
This incident adds to the concerns about public safety and firearm-related incidents in the city. Gun violence incidents in urban areas can have significant implications for the community’s sense of security and public order, prompting law enforcement agencies to actively investigate and address such incidents.
