GDC Bhaderwah organises voter awareness, enrollment drive under SVEEP
BHADERWAH, AUGUST 02: District Nodal officer SVEEP and NSS Unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Bhaderwah conducted an awareness campaign to promote democracy and enhance voter participation.
The event, held under the guidance of Principal Dr. Attar Singh Kotwal, and convenorship of District Nodal Officer SVEEP, Dr Akhtar Hussain and NSS Programme Officer, Prof. Mohd Yaseen Sirwal and it witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students.
The proceedings of the event were carried out by Dr Akhtar Hussain who highlighted the significance of the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program.
Principal Dr. Attar Singh Kotwal underscored the importance of active participation in India’s democratic election process.
Prof. Zain ul Abideen Banday was the speaker of the event who emphasized the need to spread awareness about democratic processes across all sections of society, engaging with communities at the grassroots level.
He encouraged eligible individuals, especially those aged eighteen and above, to apply for enrollment as a voter and distributed Form 6 among students.
