Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan attributed the high-profile exit to the “lack of leadership” in the Congress. He expressed concern over the state of the grand old party, suggesting that the Congress appears to be on the verge of extinction.
BJP Leadership Welcomes Pachouri’s Entry
Reacting to the development, BJP’s state president VD Sharma highlighted Pachouri’s stature in Madhya Pradesh Congress and mentioned that he joined the BJP due to the absence of a place for leaders of his caliber in the Congress. Sharma added that Pachouri would now work under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

BJP stalwart Kailash Vijayvargiya pointed out that tall leaders are leaving the Congress, suggesting a growing realization among Congress leaders and workers. According to Vijayvargiya, many are switching sides and joining the BJP because they believe Prime Minister Modi can do justice to people across the country.
