Five Arrested for Stealing and Selling Sunburn EDM Festival Passes Worth ₹82 Lakh
In a startling turn of events, the Goa police apprehended five individuals linked to the organisers of the Sunburn EDM festival for their involvement in an alleged theft of festival passes valued at Rs 82 lakh.
The arrests came following a complaint lodged by the festival organisers, notifying the authorities about the stolen passes, stated Deputy Superintendent of Police Jivba Dalvi.
According to the official, the arrested individuals, employed by the organisers, reportedly stole passes worth Rs 82 lakh and were purportedly engaged in an attempt to sell them.
The arrests occurred as the three-day music extravaganza commenced in Goa on Thursday.
The case has raised concerns regarding the security measures in place for high-profile events such as the Sunburn EDM festival, prompting swift action from the authorities to address the situation.
