According to data from Sacnilk.com, Dunki amassed a substantial ₹223.22 crore in India alone, showcasing its strong performance domestically. The film maintained its momentum with ₹0.55 crore on day 23 and ₹0.8 crore on day 24 in India, bringing the gross collection in the country to ₹267.50 crore. On the 24th day, Dunki exhibited an overall occupancy rate of 21.18%.

Dunki revolves around the pressing issue of immigration, deriving its title from the term ‘donkey journey,’ symbolizing the perilous routes individuals worldwide undertake to reach their desired immigration destinations.
