Drug Peddler Booked in Doda under Preventive Detention | Lodged in District Jail Bhaderwah
Continuing its drive to tighten the noose of drug peddlers, Doda Police has booked a drug peddler/addict and lodged him in District Jail Bhaderwah under preventive detention.
Giving details, Police said that number of complaints were being received at Police Station Bhaderwah that one Rasim Faried son of Faried Ahmed resident of Dandi Bhaderwah is a drug peddler and he is also alluring the other local youth to consume drugs and getting them involved in drug addiction and peddling.
Acting upon this information, Police swung into action and a detailed report of his involvement in drug addiction besides involving other youth in drug selling / addiction was prepared by Police and a Police party led by Inspector, Sandeep Parihar,SHO PS Bhaderwah apprehended the said drug peddler/addict and produced him before the Executive Magistrate Class 1st Bhaderwah where from he was sent to District Jail Bhaderwah under section 129 BNSS for preventive detention.

Mentionable here that Doda Police has launched a special drive under the stewardship of newly joined SSP Sandeep Mehta to eradicate the menace of drugs and psychotropic substances and has appealed the general public to cooperate with Police and provide inputs of any drug peddling or any drug addiction noticed in their neighborhood so that action could be taken against such offenders who are spoiling the life of youth and eating the very vitals of the society.
The SSP has urged the local public to act as eyes and ears of Police and report these matters without any hesitation to their respective police stations.Latest Posts
