Driver Faces FIR, Vehicle Seized for Traffic Violations in Doda

In a continued crackdown on traffic violations, Doda Police took significant action on August 6, 2024, by seizing a passenger vehicle and filing a First Information Report (FIR) against the driver in the Gandoh area.
The vehicle involved was a Matador with registration number JK06A-3799, driven by Zakir Hussain, a resident of Kencha Bitola, Tehsil Kahara.
According to police reports, the vehicle was traveling from Doda to Chounary via Gandoh at high speed in a reckless and negligent manner. This dangerous driving posed a significant risk to public safety, other road users, and the passengers aboard.
During a routine check, authorities discovered that the vehicle was carrying nine passengers beyond its seating capacity, further compounding the safety hazards.
In response to these violations, Police Station Gandoh has registered Case FIR No. 81/2024 under Sections 281, 125 BNS, and 194-A of the Motor Vehicles Act.
An investigation into the incident is currently underway, aimed at addressing the violations and ensuring road safety.
The action taken by the Doda Police underscores their commitment to enforcing traffic regulations and improving public safety on the roads.
The case serves as a reminder of the importance of adhering to traffic laws and the consequences of violating them.
