
Doda Police Trace Two Missing Women, Reunite Them with Their Families

The Doda Police have successfully traced two missing women from different locations and reunited them with their families. The missing persons’ reports were earlier filed at Police Station Gandoh.
The first case was registered on May 1, 2025, concerning a girl named Shabina Banoo, daughter of Mera Bakash, resident of Trithloo, Tehsil Gandoh, District Doda. The second case involved Rifat Begum, wife of Ashiq Hussain, resident of Changa, Tehsil Gandoh, whose report was filed on May 14, 2025.

Acting swiftly upon receiving the reports, Doda Police launched a search operation under the directions of SSP Doda Shri Sandeep Mehta (JKPS). Dedicated teams were formed at Police Station Gandoh under the supervision of senior officers.
By utilizing all available resources, including technical inputs, the police teams gathered vital clues and successfully located both missing women. After completing the necessary legal formalities, both individuals were safely handed over to their respective families. Consequently, the missing reports have been officially closed.
