
DM Doda Orders Ban on Storage, Sale, Display and Distribution of ‘Cool Lip’ Tobacco Product
District Magistrate Doda, in an order banned the storage, sale, display, distribution of ‘cool Lip’ Tobacco products.
As the issue was also taken up in District Level Advisory Committee on Food & Healthy Diets, where district Food Safety Officer also recommend to ban the usage of product in public interest.
District Social Welfare Officer Doda had also intimated that product is easily available in market, and is leading to the addiction of youth in the districts, furthering leading to behaviour anomalies.
Chief Education Officer Doda intimated the good office that number of public representatives, parents, teachers, and parents approached the office regarding the consumption of the harmful product and addiction of the children.
District Magistrate Doda, Under 163 of BNSS, orders the ban on the usage, sale, distribution, storage, of the product and senior police officials, tehsildars, and food safety officers have been ordered to implement the order in spirit.
